One of my favorite bands Zappa doing the Allman Brothers ! I was actually at this show..He did 2 nights there this was the second night. It was recorded in NYC on August 26,1984... Awesome Show..It was setup on a pier on the west side of Manhattan near 42nd street. You could see the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid in the background to the left of the band. This song was done as one of the encores..IIRC it was the last song of the show.
Speaking of Zappa covers........recorded live 9/18/1977 at the 'Fabulous' Fox Theater, Atlanta, Georgia. 'Be there or be square' we extolled when they were doing live recordings. Being born n' bred in 'Hotlanta' wasn't all bad [wish the whole concert was loaded]:

Yeah, all the Fox shows were 'killer', especially Jimmy Buffet's three night recording sessions for the 'You Had to be There' live album. I'm not a smoker, but stayed 'higher than a Ga. Pine' from the 'atmosphere'at all those concerts. Another great one was Ted Nugent circa '77. Had a whole stage of various large speaker stacks including A7s that he jumped up on and 'danced' from one to the other while playing at then record setting SPLs. It pegged my calibrated SLM hard enough to need re-calibration!
Anyway, after I posted, I edited it with a link to the Part 2 and some others, but from dim memory it was a lot longer than the ~2 hrs of these two videos. Then again, the 'atmosphere' may have had something to do with my perception of time!
